Calling All Students!
2022 OSHA Conference - Inaugural Praxis Bowl Champions
Students are an important part of the Oklahoma Speech-Language-Hearing Association, because they represent the future of our profession. In fact, the OSHA Executive Council invites a representative from all communication sciences and disorders training programs--Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC); University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO); Northeastern State University (NSU); Oklahoma State University (OSU); University of Central Oklahoma (UCO); University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC); and University of Tulsa (TU)--to attend each Eecutive Council meeting. Although the student representatives are not voting members, they are encouraged to participate in discussions and learn from the OSHA leadership. As a Student Member, they may participate on committees. To qualify, all Student Liaisons must be a Student Member of the Association.
OSHA is now accepting applications for the OSHA Student Scholarship! The Scholarship Award is bestowed upon a professional or graduate student in speech-language pathology or audiology in the state of Oklahoma. Multiple scholarships may be awarded pending available funding.
To qualify, you must be a full-time doctoral or masters student in one of the ASHA CAA-accredited graduate programs in Oklahoma, majoring in speech-language pathology or audiology. If you are an in-coming first-year graduate student, you must submit a copy of your letter of acceptance (or a letter from your department chair indicating your acceptance) into one of the graduate programs in the state.
**Scholarship applications are due each year by August 31st**
