Abstract Form:
The Abstract is a brief description of your
proposal, in 75 words or less, that will be used (if accepted) in the online program planner and in the
program book distributed onsite. Abstracts are not edited and are published as submitted, so make sure
you proofread your work carefully.
Expected Learner Outcomes are required by
ASHA for continuing education credit. They should provide a foundation for developing the course's
format, content and assessment tool; Inform the participant what he/she is expected to do as a result of
the learning event; and Assist potential participants in determining if the course is appropriate for their
level of knowledge and skills. Be sure to state learning outcomes in clear, concise,
measurable and observable terms.
Expected Takeaways are required by OSHA.
They should describe ideas/activities/techniques that attendees will learn from your session
and be able to incorporate into their practices the following week. "Following this session,
attendees will be able to..."
