STUDENT LIAISONS
Students are an important part of the Oklahoma Speech-Language-Hearing Association, because they represent the future of our profession. In fact, the OSHA Executive Council includes one or more Student Liaisons, who represent the Student Membership and encourage student participation in all aspects of Association governance. To qualify, all Student Liaisons must be a Student Member of the Association.
GRADUATE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
OSHA is now accepting applications for the OSHA Graduate Student Scholarship! The Scholarship Award is bestowed upon a professional or graduate student in speech-language pathology or audiology in the state of Oklahoma. Multiple scholarships may be awarded pending available funding.
Eligibility
- Full-time doctoral or master's student in an ASHA CAA-accredited graduate program in Oklahoma
- Majoring in speech-language pathology or audiology.
Requirements
- Completed application (This form)
- Current transcripts (Unofficial transcripts are acceptable)
- Two letters of recommendation
- Letters of recommendation should be written by individuals familiar with your academic or clinical work.
- One letter of recommendation must be written by a current member of OSHA
Letters of recommendation AND transcripts must be sent to:

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT/SLPA SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
OSHA is now accepting applications for the OSHA Undergraduate Student/SLPA Scholarship. The Scholarship Award is bestowed upon an undergraduate student in speech-language pathology, audiology or SLPA student in the state of Oklahoma.
Eligibility
- Full-time undergraduate student in a Communication Sciences and Disorders program OR a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program in Oklahoma
Requirements
- Completed application (This form)
- Current transcripts (Unofficial transcripts are acceptable)
- Two letters of recommendation
- One letter must speak to academic or professional potential (instructor, academic advisor, or clinical/practicum supervisor).
- The second letter may come from a non-academic reference (such as an employer, volunteer supervisor, or high school teacher).

Timeline for All 2026 Scholarship Awards
- Scholarship applications open August 1st, 2026 – notifications sent to university program directors
- Scholarship applications close September 25th, 2026
- Reviewers score scholarship applications from September 26th – October 7th, 2026
- Decisions announced and award recipients notified October 9th, 2026
- Scholarships awarded at Awards Dinner November 5th, 2026
Scholarships will be formally presented during the OSHA Scholarship Awards Dinner on Thursday, November 5th, 2026. Dinner expenses for all award winners will be fully covered, and recipients are expected to attend the ceremony.
MEMBERSHIP CONVERSION DISCOUNT
STUDENT MEMBERS WHO CONVERT TO FULL MEMBERSHIP WILL RECEIVE A ONE-TIME $5 DISCOUNT FOR EACH YEAR OF STUDENT MEMBERSHIP. (For example, if you were a student member for 3 years, you'll receive a $15 discount on your first year of full membership.) Contact OSHA Management for more information.
