Join us for LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY TRAINING – MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2026 – 6:00 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.

Join other students, faculty and OSHA members as we learn strategies for successfully advocating for our professions.  The training is free.  You may join us in person or if needed may join us remotely via our Zoom platform.  You will learn skills and practice them that evening so you can be ready for our annual Capitol Day event, which is the following day (details below).  We encourage you to come to the training even if you can’t make it to Capitol Day.  For questions, contact Mona Ryan at mona-ryan@ouhsc.edu.

We need students and faculty from all training programs!  We also need speech-language pathologists and audiologists from around the state and in all work settings to join us in this opportunity to advocate for your professions!

What can you do?  

  • Deliver bags with pamphlets and information to legislators’ offices
  • Talk with the legislators and the public about our professions
  • Serve/Deliver brownies and ice cream
  • Promote the professions of speech-language pathology and audiology
